Light to Edit HSS

$16.00

Description

In this course, I’m walking you through two real-world examples of how I use High Speed Sync (HSS) to shape light the way I want it.

In the first, you’ll see how I used HSS to darken the background while shooting in daylight, creating separation and control in an environment that was anything but balanced. In the second, I’ll show how I used a very wide aperture at high noon, working at f/1.2 under full sun to get the depth and compression I wanted without losing exposure control.

Throughout the course, I’ll break down how and why I lit my subjects the way I did, as well as every decision from exposure settings to flash placement. You’ll see the straight-out-of-camera RAW files and watch me build the final edit step by step.

My software of choice is Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop. I don’t use any Lightroom or Photoshop actions or presets. Everything you’ll see is created manually, just as I would for a client image.

This course is designed for photographers who already understand the basics of HSS and want to see it applied with purpose. From concept to capture to final polish, it’s a look at how I use light to create images that feel intentional from start to finish.
