“It’s Not Nighttime” pulls back the curtain on one of my favorite visual illusions.
This image was created in the middle of the day… not after sunset.
Inside this course, I walk through the exact location I chose and why it worked, how I saw the scene before I even raised the camera, and the lighting setup used to shape the image.
You’ll also see the original RAW image along with my complete editing process from start to finish so you can see exactly what the camera captured versus the final result. Nothing hidden and no skipped steps.
The goal isn’t just to recreate one image. It’s understanding how to control what the camera sees so the final image tells a different story than what was actually in front of you.
You’ll follow the entire process from capture to final image and see how small decisions in light, placement, exposure, and editing can completely change the perception of time.
Because sometimes what people think they’re looking at isn’t what was there at all.
