Flash Forward is a one-hour course focused on how I photograph confidently in full sun.
This course covers two distinct situations that photographers often struggle with. Shooting at midday using a strobe when the sun is high and unforgiving. And working in hard light when the sun is lower but still bright, where I am intentionally not using flash and rely solely on natural light.
You’ll see exactly how I approach both scenarios in real-world locations across the U.S., including Texas, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. I walk through why I choose flash or why I leave it out, how I evaluate the light on location, and how I build each image without relying on portable reflectors or guesswork.
Every setup includes behind-the-scenes video so you can see positioning, direction, and decision-making in real time. Throughout the course, I also show the RAW files straight out of camera and walk through the full edit process so you can see how each final image is built from start to finish.
This isn’t about overpowering the sun or avoiding it. It’s about understanding how to work with it, whether you’re using a strobe or committing fully to hard natural light.
