This mini course breaks down the exact IN-CAMERA technique behind the encased, blurry look that has the internet convinced it isn’t real. I walk you through how I created this image straight out of the camera… the same image photographers with “30 years of experience” insist must be fake. You’ll see how I built this look on location, why it works, and how I’ve repeated the technique across multiple images.
I’ll show examples captured with both the 85mm and the 50mm so you can see how the approach translates across lenses.
Every RAW file is shown in detail and zoomed in as far as 800 percent so you can see exactly how sharp the subject is even when photographing this shallow. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is reconstructed. You’ll see the unedited frames and the final results side by side. No stone is left unturned.
The edit is extremely simple… intentionally. Although I show the RAWS, and I edit the image to the finished product, this course is about the technique, not post-processing.
