The Glow is an editing course focused on how this image came together.
The primary focus is the edit. I walk through the image from RAW to final, step by step. Along the way, I also show how the image was captured so you understand the foundation the edit is built on.
You’ll see behind-the-scenes video, not just a pull-back still, showing the actual conditions I was working in, the location I chose, and where the light was placed. That context matters, because the glow people respond to started before the edit ever began.
You’ll see the RAW file for this image, along with the RAW files from the full session so you can see what I was aiming for beyond a single frame. I then take you through the complete editing process, and finish with a brief pass in Evoto to show final facial skin refinements.
This is not a beginner lighting or flash course. It’s meant for photographers who already understand light and want to see how capture decisions and location translate into a finished image.

If you’re completely new to flash or lighting, this will move too fast. For a deeper foundation, start with Flash Forward first.
This course will be available within the VP Box. Editing will be done in Adobe Camera Raw, Photoshop, and light skin editings in towards the end in Evoto.
