Editing Exposed

Editing Exposed is a little different from the way you normally see me edit.

These aren't my photographs.

I didn't choose the location, the lighting, the composition, the camera settings, or what happened in-camera. These images were submitted to me by other photographers, and my job was to look at what THEY created and figure out what I could do to bring each image to its full potential.

And that's what makes this one so interesting.

I'm editing 5 completely different images, and I'm not trying to make any of them look like my work. I'm looking at what's already there and making decisions based on THAT image.

Sometimes an image just needs a few small changes. Other times I may see an opportunity to take it somewhere completely different.

You'll watch me work through each image and see what catches my eye, what I think could be improved, what I decide to leave alone, and ultimately where I decide to take the edit.

Throughout the 5 images you'll see things like:

• Background duplications
• AW eye detail
• Light additions
• Background corrections
• And much more!

I think one of the best ways to become a stronger editor is to learn how to actually SEE what's possible in an image before you start clicking around in Photoshop. That's really what Editing Exposed is about.

You aren't just watching me edit...you're watching me figure out what I want to do and WHY.
