Blown is a walk-through editing course built around a real image that did not work straight out of camera.
This photograph looked rough at first. Highlights were blown. The sun was overpowering the frame. The balance wasn’t there yet. But the intention was clear, and the capture was solid enough to save.
In this course, I take you step by step through how I recovered the image and shaped it into the final version you see now. Nothing about this edit relies on advanced Photoshop techniques or complicated compositing. The focus is on understanding light behavior, reading what the file is actually giving you, and knowing how far you can push an image without breaking it.
You’ll see exactly how I handle blown highlights, manage contrast, control color, and bring structure back into an image that most people would have written off. This is not a preset drop. It’s a decision-based edit, explained clearly and intentionally.
