$150 secures your seat. The remaining $650 will be invoiced to you 30 days before your workshop date. Please read the workshop description below for all the details.

Upon purchasing your seat you are agreeing to the Terms Of Service ( TOS) as follows:

Your workshop seat is non-refundable. If you are not able to attend after you have secured your seat, then you are able to sell your seat and you’re responsible for seeking a buyer. AW Teaches assumes no responsibility in helping you secure a buyer for your workshop seat should you choose to resell it.

We are very flexible if situations change so please communicate with us. If you’re not able to attend the workshop date, please contact us at [email protected] at least 30 days before your workshop date. We will allow you to do the following –

a) Move your seat to a different date and city in 2024.

b) Transfer your seat to available dates/cities in 2025.

Your $150 retainer is considered forfeited if your final balance is not paid 30 days before your workshop date.

Purchasing your seat means that you have read the terms listed above and your payment signifies that you agree to everything listed.

Join me for an intimate, hands-on, full-day workshop where we’ll master lighting with precision. By the end, you’ll confidently use any light source to create the images you desire, feeling empowered and inspired.

This will be a full day workshop that will begin mid-morning and it will end in the evening. The actual start and end times will be determined by light and when the sun falls and the time of year. On average, the times will be between 10am – 7pm.

With so many photographers in the industry, light is what sets you apart. Without it, there's no image. I've always been a passionate seeker of light, which constantly evolves. Mastering the ability to see, shape, and control light is crucial. These days, anyone can create decent natural light images, but if you want to stand out, it's time to invest in your craft and elevate your skills! We'll explore advanced natural lighting techniques and how I blend natural and created light for a unique, subtle effect. You'll learn to simulate various natural light looks with just one light, regardless of time of day. Everyone seeks a distinct photographic style. I will demonstrate my approach, but the workshop is designed for you to develop your OWN unique style.

  • You'll learn to recognize light in a way that's unique to you—this is absolutely essential! It's the key to my lasting success in the industry.
  • I'll demonstrate what I mean when I say no one can predict my shots before I take them. It's a "superpower" that keeps me in high demand, and I'll show you exactly how it works.
  • There will be absolutely no “paparazzi style” shooting! Everyone has their own time to have one on one with the models.
  • The shooting time is all about you, not me. I’ll demonstrate my process and explain it clearly, but I’ll focus on each of you individually, guiding you based on your unique personality. My job is to help you find your own approach.
  • The goal is to equip each participant with the tools to confidently recognize and use light, even in challenging situations.
  • You are able to use the images that you capture in your social media, website, or wherever you would like to use them.
  • I show you the back of my LCD screen so you can see my SOOC images on that very day on my camera.
  • You will learn to work in areas that most photographers will simply walk past. This keeps your eye very uniquely you.

RECAP Video

A few weeks after the workshop, you'll receive access to a video recap of your specific workshop day. I'll review the lighting techniques, thought processes, and editing methods used, along with BTS footage to refresh your memory. The full editing video, yours to keep for life, ensures you won't need to take notes. I'll email you once it's ready, and you'll be able to watch it anytime through your AW Teaches account.

This workshop will be intimate and capped at 10 photographers. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. You do not need to own your own lighting equipment to participate in the workshop. I will supply the lighting equipment. Just bring your camera and favorite lenses. I will supply you all with the triggers so that you can fire the light. It doesn’t matter what camera you use.This workshop is designed for both professional photographers and serious hobbyists, regardless of skill level. My unconventional techniques will teach everyone more than they expect. Many are conditioned to approach photography in a specific way—I'm confident I'll show you the complete opposite!
