It’s Not Impossible
Some images generate more discussion than others.
When I shared this image, photographers questioned everything from the depth of field to the lighting. Some believed additional blur had been added in post-processing. Others suggested it was photographed against a green screen. A few even wondered if artificial intelligence was involved.
The truth is much simpler.
In this course, I take you behind the scenes of the entire image creation process and show exactly how the photograph was made. You’ll see the location, the reason it was chosen, the lighting setup, the camera settings, and the thought process behind every decision. More importantly, you’ll see how intention influences the final result long before an image ever reaches the editing stage.
We’ll walk through the complete series from this session, not just the final photograph. By examining the images that came before and after, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the visual choices that led to the finished frame.
You’ll also inspect the original RAW files at high magnification ( 200% – 300% ), allowing you to see exactly what came out of the camera and how sharp the image is. You will see the depth of field is created in camera. From there, I walk you through the full editing process from the RAW image to the final photograph. The editing is minimal, but you will see every step, including how I prepare and save the finished image for social media. This isn’t a heavily edited image, and Photoshop knowledge is not needed to follow along or gain useful tips. The process can also be duplicated in Lightroom.
This is not a course about tricks.
It’s a lesson in light, aperture, and most of all, intention.
Because sometimes the biggest limitation isn’t what a camera can do.
It’s what people believe is possible.
