This is my most personal tutorial to date. For those that have followed me will attest to the fact that I do not take a huge production with me as I photograph my paying clients. I do this by design because people affect how I think. When I am taking pictures, it is just myself and my clients. No assistants. If I need any minor assisting, I will use the mother. She loves this because she feels involved and we are able to naturally bond. Other than that, I refuse to have a production. My photo sessions are real life and that is by design.
In this tutorial, I will give you personal behind the scenes video as I scout areas on a PAID client shoot. I will show you the results from each location. I have been asked to do a composition tutorial a very long time ago, and I couldn’t figure out HOW I wanted to do it until now. I am utilizing only natural light, with my DSLR camera. **We will go over several different locations, both indoors and out!**
I will be photographing in a VERY busy major tourist attraction in Chicago, IL. I will show you the areas I scouted based on LIGHT. I will go into great detail why I chose that area based on light, and how I used composition to avoid the clutter of the area. I will be photographing both indoors AND outdoors.
I will guarantee this tutorial series will open your eyes to things you didn’t realize. I will give you a new way to see things. If you are bored with your work….then this tutorial is for you.
